I've had FMS for about eight years, but have just found effective pain control the past two years. I take 800 mg. naproxen/Aleve and a 1000-mg. flaxseed oil capsule every night at bedtime, and take Arnica (a homeopathic herb) as needed for flareups. These things work for me 90 percent of the time, but I typically don't get enough rest--which is my own fault.

I have had fibromyalgia for over 20 years and I can tell you there is NO cure for fibro. A healthy diet of organic and all natural foods, really good vitamins and daily exercise (like walking or yoga) is the best treatment. Don't believe all the crap about cures and quick fixes. They just want your money!! Take very good care of yourself.

surgery won't help. there's so much information and so little understanding about fibromyalgia it's truly unbelievable. as a person living with fibro myself, diagnosed several years ago, i can assure you that if there was a realistic surgical option as a treatment my doctor would have suggested it and i would have tried it.

the time you take to read whatever information is available will be well worth it.

good luck
