Are there tests?
What other "nerve" type diseases or conditions are there? What will cause toes / feet to be numb and fingers to be numb? Hand pain / foot pain?
Justmein: I have to do my own diagnosis since I am the one suffering so much with this and the docs who don’t feel the pain just medicate without finding the cause. Correcting and healing the problem would be nice wouldn’t it? I have a new Doc and I am hoping this one will be better. She seems wonderful the past two times I have seen her.

1There are points on your body where the doctor can press and if it hurts, it’s almost a 100% indicator of the disease. There’s not a blood or urine test yet.

2Fibromyalgia is a not really a disease that can be tested for. It is mostly diagnosed by signs and symptoms and ruling out other diseases.

3an incompetant doc (most) just label any pain as fms
a good doc does many test to rule out other conditions–takes a detailed history–including lifestyle–and than assess the 18 TENDERPOINTS
many docs think ther eis inflammtion with fms–that it is autoimmune—that there are triggerpoits–these are all signs of incompetnat docs
lymes, ms, brain tumor……..charcotmarie tooth disease–twisted spine those are just a few i know of
