Last September I started getting minor fevers, 1-2 degrees above normal. I saw the doctor in January, she suspected an auto-immune disease and I was referred to a reumatologist. I saw the reumatologist in March and he dismissed the fevers, saying "slight fevers are normal". I had other symptoms as well, but he said it was my Fibromyalgia, which I was diagnosed with 8 years ago and which has similar symptoms to auto-immune diseases. I doubted whether he was right, but didn’t know what else to do so I got on with my life. However, I recently had a cold and some fevers and so I’ve been taking my temp again and the fevers are not going away. Is this really normal? I would like to get a second opinion, but I don’t have insurance and you have to get referred to see a reumatologist and it’s often a wait of several months to get in.
