I’ve been told by one doctor that that I most likely have fibromyalgia and should consider a trial of a medication called lyrica.

I’m waiting on a second opinion from another doctor.

But, what I would like to know is how would the use of marijuana effect someone with fibromyalgia?

I’ve had two occasions that have had the same outcome.

One, I was in a car while friends were smoking weed (hotboxing it) and I got a contact high. The morning after, I had excrutiating pain in my entire right arm that was the worst thing I have ever felt. It didn’t stop, and I spent the entire day with it elevated far above my head in hopes to numb out the pain. I don’t even remember much of the day but my mother said I was screaming and crying all day and night and unable to focus on anything she was saying. I eventually took a few sleeping pills and woke up the next morning with MUCH less pain in my arm.

The second occasion was when I actually smoked marijuana myself, and woke up the next morning screaming because of the same kind of pain in my right leg.

Like my arm, the pain wasn’t limited to one area. It was a deep and constant pain that was radiating through my entire leg.

I’m wondering if this is just pure coincidence, or if marijuana somehow effects my body (fibromyalgia or not).

Any explanations would be appreciated :)
