i have fibromyalgia and severe lower back/leg pain Yesterday was my first therapy sesion, that is partly to blame i think but this is wierd. never happened before. last night it was so bad (after therapy) that i had to go to emergeny late last night from severe leg pain and migraine. that they gave me a shot of demerol and phenergan, which helped immensly, but i woke up this morning with severe pain at the injection site (right arm) almost to the point of not being able to move my arm or raise it up. is this normal? i called the E.R. nurse and she said i need to come back to the er to have it checked out. i really dont wanna do this partly because of another E.R. bill and gas prices. the E.R. is about 30 miles away. is this normal? or should i have it cecked out? i cant really tell if it is swollen or inflamed because i just ripped the bandaid off. what should i do? will this just go away? what else can they do about it if i do go back the emergency? need anwers fast, please!! thanks
they gave me some demerol and phenergan for nausea from migraine. and sent me home with vicodin and midrin for headaches. I really dont want to waste a vicodin for something like this, because i need to save as much as i can for the really bad days. i cancelled therapy for today because i think i may have worked to hard at therapy yesterday. i have never been through this before and i useed to be on depo for birth control i had a shot every 3 months and so i am used to shots in my arm. but never pain.
i just looked at the site in the mirror and there is a huge bruise and a couple of knots in the muscle.i am icing it for now until my family doctor calls back with some advice on if i should go or what to do if i dont go.
