I’m seeing my Primary Dr. today.
Heart palpitations and feeling mentally racy and not able to finish, always in a hurrty
Chest pain
Headache when very stressed
High blood pressure-The systolic (upper number) runs between 120 and 160 and the diastolic (lower number) runs between 90 and 106
Nausea
Depression only due to the severe pain I’ve been in for over six years
Ever since stopping the morphine and valium my blood pressure has been high.
Medications…
Flexeril muscle relaxer
Zofran for nausea
Suboxone keeps patients from taking opiate pain meds
Inderal high blood pressure
Celebrex anti-inflammatory & also works for pain
Trazodone sleep
Protonix acid reflux
Cymbalta depression I got from the pain meds. I’m not feeling depressed.
Lyrica muscles and fibromyalgia which I don’t have.
I took Inderal yesterday from my Primary Dr. but B.P. stayed high and went up a few hours later to 140/102. The Pain management Dr. I saw yesterday didn’t give me any ideas of what I could have but I see my Primary Care Dr. today.
If it’s anxiety what’s the treatment?
I’m a mom of three kids who I drive to and from school everyday.
I know yahoo isn’t a medical dr. but does anyone have any ideas?
I want to get off most meds but my Dr. won’t give me valium for anxiety symptoms and she says it’s not for spasms. When I mentinoed anxiety to the nurse she said Dr. won’t give it to me. Since no valium, I’ve had high B.P. and anxiety symptoms. I won’t go on pain meds cause of driving to and from private school. The meds I take now aren’t addicting nor make me sleepy. If any of them do then I don’t take them. Lyrica and Flexeril doesn’t cause me drowsiness. No bus or friends close by enough from the school. We are farthest from private school. Hubby works 24 hr. shifts so I have no choice but to drive. If I go back on pain meds insurance won’t cover them and I will be more absent from the meds making me sleepy.

1I can relate to your problems. I have had degenerative disc disease for 15 years and have been on full disability for over five years. My list of meds, including phentynal patches and oxycodone are quite similar to yours. I think some of the symptoms you are experiencing are due to stress, and that alone will make your blood pressure high. There are many days that I can’t stay awake due to the amount of medicine I take along with the lack of sleep I get consistently at night. You really need to get your blood pressure under control, which will help with your chest pain, heart problems and headaches. I hate to say this, but you really do no need to be driving at all, while taking lyrica and flexeril, expecially. I take lyrica twice a day and zanaflex up to 6 times a day. I do no drive when taking my meds and do not take these meds if I have to drive. You are risking the lives of your children and others on the road by driving under the influence of some of these meds. Also if you have an accident causing death or injury under the influence of these meds, you could also be prosecuted. Your children need their mom and you need to find other transportation for them to school. They could ride a bus or with a neighbor or friend.
I really wish I could help you more. Just make sure that your pain doctor and primary doctor are on the same page and both know about all of your medications so they can work together to get your problems under control. You might need to see a counselor so you can blow off some steam if nothing else. I tried it and sometimes it helped me.
hope this helps..
