I know that raising Glutathione levels helps with fibromyalgia. Glutathione is a molecule found and produced in every cell of the body. It is responsible for the proper functioning of the immune system, detoxification, recycling of antioxidants and several other things. In a nutshell, Glutathione is the first line defense against diseases and keeps our immune system in tip-top shape. Do research on Glutathione.
God bless
There are massage therapists who specialize in treating people with fibromyalgia. It’s offered to us as a continuing education class. Call some massage therapists in the yellow pages, someone will be able to refer you. It isn’t a "pleasant" treatment, not like a regular massage but from what I hear from fellow therapists who do it, it works. It may take several treatments for you to feel relief.
You can also check out "www.abmp.com", it’s the Association of Massage and Bodywork Professionals, they have a "search for a therapist" , it may help you find someone in your area. Also "www.amta.com", another professional association with a search link.
I know chiropractors have pretty good success with patients suffering from fibromyalgia. Nutritionally, a combination of magnesium and malic acid supplementation is often beneficial.
Seven years ago I was diagnosed Fibromyalgia. Started with RSI, frozen shoulders, etc.
Five years ago I came in contact with some nutritional supplements. It turned my world around. Now I have my own practice on this item and I am working again every day with pleasure. If you want to know more, send me an email direct, so I can help you fight this state of mind.
Arnica is generally prescribed for pain, tenderness, and stiffness. Take one dose of Arnica 30x or 15c, three times daily for up to three days. Arnica cream or gel can also be used topically.
Bryonia helps ease pain that increases with movement and is better when resting. It also helps with the constipation. Take one dose of Bryonia 30x or 15c three times daily for up to three days.
Hypericum is useful for the unbearable prickly pain that radiates along nerve pathways, is worse with movement, and worse when touched. This remedy is especially effective for pain in the extremities. Take one dose of Hypericum 12x, 6x, 6c, or 3c three times daily for up to three days.
Rhus toxicodendron is for the individual who feels better after moving around. Take one dose of Rhus toxicodendron 30x or 9c three times daily for up to three days.
Have you tried any energy treatment?
In energy therapy, every disease is generated by some disturbance within your bodies energy, so if you believe that, or care to give it a try, any energy therapy would be a good try. I know it may sound unrealistic, but you’ll never know if you don’t try it!
I recommend reiki. It can help you realize why are you really sick and give you the strength to heal yourself.
First of all, get to a doctor and get a diagnosis to make sure that is what you have. Most MDs and other health professionals are very sympathetic these days. There are other reasons sometimes for the symptoms. After that, I have heard that Emotional Freedom Techniques may help, also Therapeutic Touch. Then there is hypnotism, Reiki, etc. Find a URL on the subject. The web is full of information
Doing consistent deep tissue massage for people w/fibromyalgia is wonderful. It should be done on a "good" day, however, as it is impossible to work deep on a not so good day.
